Such a great book
Cavanagh has cornered the market in British iterations of the Grisham/Turow-style legal thriller, with razor-sharp dialogue a particular speciality. When the wife of a serial killer is arraigned for multiple homicides, Eddie Flynn decides to defend her - what he doesn't need is the killer's own ruthless intervention, targeting witnesses.
There's plenty you won't see coming (and it's all the better for it). This is easily my favourite of Steve's books
Steve Cavanagh's Eddie Flynn series goes from strength to strength. The Accomplice is another muscular legal thriller, setting off like a freight train before twisting and turning through a snaky plot. Cavanagh's great skill lies in combining action with courtroom skulduggery; memorably evil villains with shades-of-grey heroes; and the sort of turn-the-page adrenalin that makes him a worthy successor to Grisham. Another triumph
Just when you thought there were no new twists to bring to the legal thriller, Cavanagh comes along and knocks your socks off. The high courts meet high concepts.
