Bruce Sanderson is on a ten-day holiday in the Highlands when he encounters Iain MacNair, who begins to teach him the mysteries of blending noble malts. He soon embarks on a relationship with MacNair’s daughter Katriona but, shortly after, Macnair is murdered.
